The problem that arises here is how to attract readers as well as the amount of website visitors? I have to go through the forums, blog but all are only generalities and not a thoughtful guide. As everyone already knows about SEO, social media marketing, addition to this article I will discuss the other advice for people applying to combine them together to best increase traffic.
Step 1: Good Content
Yes I said good not great content. The reality is, most people don’t know the difference between good and great content. What they do know is whether they enjoyed reading it and if they learned something. You can accomplish both those things with good solid content. Plus the easier it is to read and learn from, the faster they will share it.
Which scenario do you think happens more?
1. Someone reads a post and shares it with their friends and says.
“Hey, you have to read Vinh Huynh Long post, it was so elegantly written.”
2. Someone reads a post and shares it with their friends and says.
“Hey, you have to read Vinh Huynh Long post, it was to funny and some awesome tips in there to help you.”
I’m thinking #2 happens more.

Step 2: SEO
Before you had to choose, write for people or write for SEO or write for both and put in the hard work to make it happen.
Now, you can write for both much easier.
Now Google doesn’t want to see too many keywords in a post, you only have to use a keywords a few times to make it good for SEO, which makes it good for people too.
It is a no brainer to write some of your blog posts for a specific keyword. Your writing the post anyway, why not do a some keyword research first.
That way the post just might get ranked and you will get traffic to your blog for Free.
Found numerous SEO guide here.
Step 3: Focus on using Twitter
But honestly, Twitter will be your #1 traffic source beating out every other social platform if you put a small amount of effort into it.
Now the only thing is you write content that fits your blog topic.
Step 4: Use all social media
For me, Google+ has recently become a great place to connect with people and find and share content. Lately I have seen people writing Google+ tips and what to do and not do.
Listen, every social platform should be worked the same when it comes to the way you use it. No matter what platform you use to get traffic to your blog, you have to stick close to a 70 – 30 share ratio. You share 70% of others peoples content and 30% of your own content!
You do this on every platform, the only difference is you may want to target content specific to that platform. Facebook posts on FB, Twitter posts on Twitter, Google+ posts on Google+, Linkedin posts on Linkedin.
Step 5: Bookmark Your Posts
Yes social bookmarks are still good to use, but not for traffic getting, well not directly anyway. Once you publish a new blog post you will want to bookmark it to start building backlinks to it and help it get ranked.
Step 6: Blog Comment
Quality blog commenting is still powerful way to get traffic and get seen. When I started my blog, I had no money, so I replied on social media and blog commenting to build my site. Today commenting still works, but you have to be smart and selective and you have to leave a quality comment to see any real benefit.
You want to find blogs that are related to your blogs topic and leave a comment once a week. Commenting should be about adding to the conversation first, the traffic and back link should not be your main focus here.
The better your comment, the more traffic it will bring, so take your time and thing your comment.
Step 7: Good Design
No one will tell their friends to come see your ugly blog, but if it’s design really nice and looks different, then they will share it with friends to take a look.
A good design and feel will build trust when people visit your blog, and trust is what it is all about. Have you visited a blog and saw how bad it looked and automatically thought negative things? I have, all the time, it’s natural.
If your blog is badly designed, I will assume there isn’t much you can help me with when you can’t even help your own blog.
Do you agree with the guidance and advice of me? I want to hear from you and if you have any ideas please leave it in the comment section.
